Director of Human Resources

NIHI® Sumba in Indonesia is hiring a Director of Human Resources to assist with the following aspects of our people-centric business:

Managing all staff and labor relations, from recruitment to training and development. Developing and upholding the team’s operational and behavioral policies.
Coordinating all employee onboarding paperwork including procurement of work permits or visas, where applicable.
Enacting property procedures on compensation, incentives, benefits and more.
Ensuring employee wellness and safety.
Leading staff training to ensure high-quality services are delivered to guests.
Responding to all employee requests and providing guidance and leadership regarding employee morale, relations, and discipline.
Leading staff communication for General Manager and in turn representing employee interests in managerial meetings.
Supporting, upholding and guiding NIHI®‘sphilosophies concerning hiring, employee relations, supervision and disciplinary action to result in consistent application of policies and procedures.
Serving as a role model at NIHI® and demonstrating professional leadership skills that are fully aligned and in support of NIHI®’s company culture.

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a bonus.
Proven experience in HR management and general administration, preferably in the hospitality industry
Strong knowledge of Indonesian labor laws and regulations
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strategic thinker with the ability to align HR initiatives with business goals Proven leadership and team management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Experience working in remote areas is considered advantageous
Experience working in a five-star resort or a related field is preferred.
