Job Description

 

Please note this role will be based on a work-from-home basis or a remote office in Batam for a Singapore company established in 2008.

Responsibilities:

Manage procurement tasks, including creating purchase orders from supplier quotations and reconciling them with invoices
Liaise remotely with the logistics supply chain and understanding of Incoterms for international shipments
Contact suppliers, obtains and analyses quotes/bid proposals and negotiates pricing and delivery for purchases and/or contracts
Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories
Maintain and ensure systems and procedures in Procurement Department are in compliance with ISO9001 and other regulatory requirements.
Plan, schedule and monitor the movement of inventory through production cycle
Perform excess and obsolescence functions to minimize company’s risk
Gather quotations, examine bids, and make awards; and develop specifications for new contract orders
Performs other duties as assigned

Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to manage -relationships with Strategic Suppliers and all level of people from peers, colleague and management.

Good problem solving and independent decision-making ability.

Job Requirements:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
A team player capable of thriving independently in a dynamic environment
Proficiency in English and Chinese languages for effective communications
