Job Description

Scope of Role 

The City Operations Lead role will be reporting to JobStreet Express City Manager. In this role, you will manage on-ground city acquisition and post-acquisition sales and customer success teams to drive business targets and objectives. You will work with internal and external stakeholders across SEEK’s area and JobStreet Express central team based in Indonesia on activities ranging from acquiring and retention of new hirers and candidates as well as driving customer success. This role will also support and manage the delivery of process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across operational teams. 

This role will support the JobStreet Express City Manager to foster a culture of fast and sustainable growth through managing of sales and business operations team as well as to implement initiatives to drive operational excellence via agile processes, technology tools and a data-driven mindset within the operations team.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Operations and People Management
Lead and manage acquisition and post-acquisition on-ground teams and is responsible to achieve targets for the top line of the business, ensuring the business is running in sustainable growth
You will be given specific resources (manpower or team, budget) and are responsible to achieve targets for the top line of the business (e.g. revenue, ad scale, hirer scale, candidate scale)
Responsible to hire, train, coach, manage large internal and external sales and operations teams (e.g. door-to-door, customer success representatives)
Responsible to track and monitor performance of on-ground team, identify gaps and lead to actionable plans for value creation, performance uplift and operation efficiency improvement
Have interests in carrying out field activities (e.g. process and performance audit, external stakeholder engagement, event organisation, networking, community engagement), willing to be on-ground most days of the week
Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvements 
Responsible to identify gaps and opportunities through performance monitoring, and lead to actionable plans for value creation, performance uplift and operation efficiency improvement
Responsible to lead both conceptual and practical problem-solving initiatives, making data-driven decisions with the agility to shift directions as quickly as needed
Responsible to ensure the delivery of end-to-end process, from planning to execution and change management
Responsible to accept challenging assignments, helping leaders make tough decisions, partnering and overcoming obstacles to deliver results
Grow the Business – Support City Manager to grow the overall JobStreet Express business and sales operations 
Support hyperlocal strategy, business development and collaborating initiatives with external and internal stakeholders
Support City Manager to ensure the business is running in sustainable growth
Support City Manager to understand the market and competition dynamics, agile in facing the competitive landscape and driving a viable business
Support City Manager in identifying, comprehending, and synthesizing internal and industry data (provided by the analytics team), creating hypotheses of trends, and assessing business risk

Qualifications

Skills, Experience and Competencies 

The successful candidate should meet the following requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree, preferably Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, other majors are welcomed
Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on experience in managing sales and business operations with proven track record in driving accelerated growth
Experience in tech companies in Indonesia is preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to identify gaps and perform root cause analysis, as well as provide recommendations
Independent, have strong communication skills, attention to details and eagerness to learn; Proficient in MS Office especially Excel and Powerpoint
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
Prior experience in working with an international team for a cross-functional project
Proficient in written and spoken English, as well as Bahasa Indonesia
